They went out and proclaimed that all should repent.  They cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

God did not make death. 

And Jesus said:  Get up, Stand up…

Episcopal Church Women’s Prayer 

Almighty God, we pray that you will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love given through your son Jesus. Let us not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world. Amen

You’re apostles now:

snakes, demons, fear, sickness. No Problem.

Go tell it-Go share it-My power is yours – Go and heal them.

The motherless child need not be,  Mother Church for All are we.

Loving God, as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children, so you watch over your Church. Bless our mothers, with your strength.   Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. We remember them today, here in this present life and in blessed memory.  Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect and by the loving and generous examples of our lives. Grant this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
