Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord’s resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

“the Lord needs it….”
During Lent our journey of discovery with the never ending destination known as Reconcilation – with God – our neighbor – and ourselves, brings us to the Joy of Jerusalem – our creaturely donkey nature reconciled to God in Christ, bearing Him among the palmed crowds. However the destination soon shifts as the donkey disappears and Jesus is forsaken, taken to cross, giving His life for all as a sign that reconciliation is possible. And so the eternal journey of faith and reconciliation continues. And the donkey is still needed……
